'65 Martin D-21 "I paid $1800 for my D-285. Kevin Sheilds said, 'It's a good idea to buy an acoustic guitar because there's not going to be any electricity in five years.' As far as I know, the experimental model is unique. It's back is supported with a strange x-brace, which you can see through the soundhole. I also just bought a D-21. They're usually expensive. Some guy I know had it, and it was pretty cheap, so I bought it. It's my first Martin with a 14-fret neck. All of my other Martins have 12-fret necks, which are wider than the 14-fret neck. I like the wider neck, but it's nice to have a 14-fret one, because I like to use a capo on my acoustics." |
